Every week, PelhamToday features adoptable pets via Lincoln County Humane Society. For any inquiries about these adoptable friends, reach out to LCHS directly.

Albert, male, mini rex, two years, neutered

Albert is a ridiculously lovely and velvety rabbit. He is just so pettable and delightful. Albert love love loves to be pet. He's a great bonding candidate if you have a confident or even sassy spayed lady bunny at home or he can go home solo to a doting family. He loves to be pet, is very friendly, and runs up to greet you whenever you enter the room (and ask for snacks).

Albert is used to the sound of barking dogs but has not directly met one. He's cool with friendly cats once he has time to get used to them. Albert is fully litter trained for pees but always leaves some "berries" out in on his towels. This behaviour might disappear in a home with no other bunnies. Bunny-proofing recommended in his exercise space as he can get into things (like drywall if you don't have proper baseboards on!).

Albert is healthy but his breed is prone to health problems such as dental disease. Since rex bunnies only have velvet rather than proper fur, he is prone to sores on the bottom of his feet so must be housed on soft bedding.

Adoption fee is $35. Go to www.Ichs.ca to apply to adopt (click the Adoption tab).
