1956 – 2024
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Sandy DeTiberiis on Monday, September 23, 2024. Beloved son of Nancy and the late Tonino (2004). Much loved brother of Johnny. Sandy was the much-loved nephew of the late Carmen (2007) and Joyce Venditti, the late Gennaro (2015) and Wendy Venditti, Tony and Susan Venditti, Theresa Grenville Venditti, Mary Ann Venditti. He will be remembered by his Zias Flora and Emma and their families in Italy. He will be greatly missed and remembered by his cousins, Kimberly, Christopher, Jeremy, Jason, Christian, Rebecca, Patrick, Kristi and John. Sandy will be missed by the many friends whose lives he touched and with whom he enjoyed spending time. He was predeceased by his grandparents Enina and Giovanni Venditti and Maria and Santino DeTiberiis. Sandy was devoted to his mother and brother. His family came first followed closely by a large circle of loyal friends. After working for many years, he found his true calling as an entrepreneur opening his store, Deluca Fine Foods. The store gave him the opportunity to show off his prized red Corvette driving it proudly in Merritton Labour Day parade. Sandy’s air-conditioned garage is legendary but will no longer be the gathering spot for friends and family.
Visitors will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Vigil prayers will be recited at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Rite of Committal Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Please join the family for a time of refreshment following the committal. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Sandy to Community Living St. Catharines or Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated and may be left, along with condolences at www.Bocchinfusofh.com.
