Drug bust nets $28K in narcotics, three arrests

In May 2023, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) street crime detectives assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara-on-the-Lake) commenced an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs throughout the City of Niagara Falls.

On May 24, 2023, detectives received judicial authorization to execute a search warrant at a residential address located in the area of Kalar Road near Niven Street in the City of Niagara Falls. As a result of the investigation three individuals have been arrested. 

In total, detectives recovered 269.8 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 149.4 grams of suspected cocaine, and 88.1 grams of suspected fentanyl. The combined estimated street value of the drugs is $28,380. In addition, detectives also seized $1,200 of Canadian currency believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime and a replica firearm.

Colin David Geisendorf (38 years) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
    •    Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
    •    Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Fail to comply with release order

Tristin Castello (25 years) of Oakville has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
    •    Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
    •    Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Fail to comply with release order

Albert Abreem Matti (20 years) of Hamilton has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
    •    Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
    •    Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
    •    Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

Geisendorf and Castello remain in police custody and are being held for a bail hearing scheduled to take place later today (May 25, 2023) via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church St. in the City of St. Catharines. 

Matti was released from custody on a Form 10 Undertaking and is scheduled to attend the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church St. in the City of St. Catharines on July 27th, 2023.
