Police searching for missing man, 73, last seen in Niagara Falls

Police say they are concerned for his well-being as he requires regular medication for treatment

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are searching for 73-year-old Gerald Evan Secord.

Secord was reported missing on Feb. 7. He was last seen at a bank in the area of Morrison Street and Portage Road in Niagara Falls on Feb. 6 at 11:15 a.m. Gerald left the bank on foot and has not been seen since.

Gerald is described as:

  • White male
  • 5’9’ feet tall
  • 160 lbs., slender build
  • Grey wavy hair
  • Blue eyes
  • Grey facial her

Last seen wearing (see photos)

  • Black 3/4 length coat
  • Dark winter gloves
  • Blue jeans
  • Black, grey and white golf shirt
  • Brown long-sleeved collard shirt
  • Black toque
  • Black shoes

Gerald requires regular medication for the treatment of a medical condition. The police are concerned for his welfare. Anyone who may know his location or may have spotted him is being asked to contact the NRPS Communication (dispatch) by calling 905-688-4111. Anyone with information that may lead to Gerald’s location is asked to contact the Niagara Falls office of the NRPS by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1022200.

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.
