Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are searching for wanted man Juan Carlos Castro, 28, of Niagara Falls.

  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of a firearm with ammunition
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

His current location is unknown. As a result of the alleged removal of the ankle monitoring device he is now wanted for the Criminal Code offences of:

  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with a release order (two counts)

Castro is described as:

  • Black male
  • six-feet tall
  • 190 lbs
  • Brown eyes with glasses
  • Clean shaven

As a result of the ongoing investigation detectives have reason to believe that Castro may be in the company of Danielle Nettos, 27, of Thorold.

On March 24 at 10:20 p.m. the Ontario Provincial Police in the area of the southbound 400 highway and Innisfil Beach Road, Innisfil, attempted to stop a white 2014 Dodge Journey van (Ontario plate CKLB507).  Nettos was confirmed to be the driver.  Nettos’ three children (ages 10, 7, 3) were suspected to be in the rear seats of the van.  Castro is suspected to have also been a passenger. The van did not stop. The involved OPP officers did not engage in a pursuit and the van was last seen travelling southbound.

Anyone knowing the location of Castro, Nettos, the van and the children are asked not to approach them but to contact their local police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating detectives by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1002206.
