Shots fired at St. Catharines home

Occurred at a residence where a vehicle fire was put out in early-September

On Sept. 4, 2024 at approximately 2:30 a.m., 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Senator Drive and Sterling Street in the City of St. Catharines for a fire call. 

Initial investigation suggested that there was a vehicle on fire at a residence at this location. The St. Catharines Fire Department attended and put out the fire.  There were no physical injuries as a result.

On Oct. 1, 2024, further information revealed there had been a gun shell located at the same residence.

The Forensic Service Unit attended and investigated the matter further and were able to determine there were multiple gun shot holes in the front of the residence.

Detectives with 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) with the Niagara Regional Police Service have taken carriage of the investigation and are looking for more information to help further the investigation.

Anyone who resides within the area of Mac Turnbull Drive and Senator Drive in St. Catharines, Ontario, that has video surveillance or anyone who may have dash cam footage who may have in the area on Sept. 4, 2024 between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. are asked to contact detectives.
