PelhamToday received the following letter to the editor in response to our story Pelham Panthers Junior B hockey value questioned.

The MCC is already a burden on Pelham taxpayers. Mr. Hildebrandt is justified in suggesting the hockey team pay more than $1,000 yearly. That does not cover the cost of the utilities and 365-day usage.

The mere visibility of said hockey team in Pelham adds insignificant value to Pelham business.

The glory days of hockey presence are gone.

Pelham should attach its reputation to more meaningful endeavours; tennis or soccer come to mind.
