PelhamToday received the following letter criticizing the lack of transparency around the provincial government's plan to build on the Greenbelt.
Exciting or concerning news in Niagara is that a regional facilitator is talking about accountability and transparency.
So says Sam Oosterhoff. The mission is "to get housing built first." Sam still answers to Doug Ford, whose Greenbelt plan is currently under scrutiny by the RCMP. Difficult to see transparency through Mr Ford's maze .
Pelham already sees results of intensification in East Fonthill. Narrow roads, more traffic issues, density of houses, few trees and poor air quality. Further to that affordable housing it is not. Nor is any of it designed with seniors in mind.
Residents in Fenwick should be vigilant as plenty of open fields are close enough to town centre for infrastructure.
