Hardwood and frosting: Pelham Council celebrates first year in office

Councillors and staff enjoy cake and a new table, handcrafted by Public Works Department

Pelham Town Council members marked the one-year anniversary of their tenure on Wednesday afternoon at Town Hall with coffee and cake, and also unveiled a new meeting room table emblazoned with the Pelham logo.

“It was the brainchild of the Public Works Department,” said CAO David Cribbs. “Ryan Cook, our Manager of Public Works, took the lead on the project. We are very pleased with the result.”

The table, measuring four feet by eight feet, is crafted from Niagara Ash, and was built specifically for the new meeting room at Town Hall. Cribbs said that townsfolk are invited to access the room.

The mood was distinctively cordial, an indicator that this council has worked hard to communicate, compromise, and get along. They may possibly even like each other, observed a resident, who further remarked that the cake was exceptionally delicious.
