Severe thunderstorm watch issued for:
   Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County
   Waterloo - Wellington
   Halton Hills - Milton
   Burlington - Oakville
   Niagara

Current details:
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing large hail and heavy rain.

Hazards:
Nickel to toonie ball size hail.
Torrential rainfall producing local amounts of 30 to 50 mm.

Timing:
This evening into the early overnight.

Discussion:
Thunderstorms will continue to track southeastward over the region this evening. The primary threats will be hail and torrential rainfall.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Be prepared for severe weather. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
