For the third time, Niagara’s Top 40 Under Forty awards have recognized a Town of Pelham staff member. One of Niagara’s most prestigious awards, the 40 Under Forty, recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary level of success in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. The 2024 recipient from the Town of Pelham is Brilee Sears, who joined the team in 2023 as a grant specialist.
Ms. Sears joins a prestigious group of individuals from across Niagara who are under the age of 40 and who make significant positive contributions to the local economy, community, and business ecosystem. This recognition not only celebrates their individual achievements but also serves as a testament to the vibrant and dynamic nature of the local community, showcasing the talent and potential that exists within Niagara.
“Working with Town staff and community partners on grants that have the potential to support residents has been an incredibly rewarding role,” said Sears. “I am excited to continue to serve the residents of Pelham, connecting projects and worthwhile causes with additional funding opportunities.”
Sears joins a growing number of 40 Under Forty Award recipients who are selected from a judging committee consisting of past alumni of the award. Applications to the award are evaluated on an assessment of candidates' capabilities, measurable achievements in their roles, contributions to business enhancements, industry expertise, community engagement, notable accomplishments, and the overall quality of their submissions.
“It is a testament to Sears' exceptional work and collaborative spirit that she has been recognized. She is a true pleasure to work with,” said Town of Pelham CAO David Cribbs. "We are proud that Pelham continues to attract and hire such high-quality individuals, and we value the contributions of each and every one of our staff members."
