The Rotary Club of Fonthill is partnering with White Meadows Farms and EL Crossley Secondary School to host Family FarmFest at White Meadows Farms on June 17th right here in Pelham. This will be Niagara Region’s most anticipated event this year where we will create an exciting interactive farming playground and a forum promoting local not-for-profit organizations along with educational farming exhibits and activities.

This will be an exciting day of unique displays to enlighten and entertain the whole family. We will showcase all that is farming, together with the importance of rural community living. Plans currently in the works include farm animals; live ‘Unicorn’ rides; country music and line dancing; a BBQ lunch; food trucks; maple syrup demos and tasting; plus a myriad of intriguing activities for young and old. Kids will test their skills at the hands-on Try-A-Trade Skills Pavilion, see all-that’s-farming up close and maybe learn to milk a cow. Additional highlights include farm themed games and presentations from 4-H Clubs and local community interest groups.

The whole community is invited to participate, and a family of 4 can enjoy a full day of fantastic farm fun for just $50 per family, Early Bird $40 until May 16 (or $15 ea. adult, $10 ea. kid 3-13). With financial support from community organizations and businesses such as yours, we hope to entertain and educate our community on the importance of our agricultural community. And proceeds generated from the event will allow us to support local community organizations focused on children and youth initiatives.

Also invited to participate at FarmFest will be local farming associations, not-for-profits, sports groups and charities to introduce themselves and promote their services. All participants will be encouraged to invite their friends, co-workers and families to buy tickets for this fun-fulfilled festive farm day of food, music, play and good times.

Family FarmFest will be a wonderful, feel-good experience helping to educate all that is farming in our community. We need partners who want to help make a difference right here in their own neighbourhood and what better way to do it than at FarmFest 2023!
