Cooling drinks are always welcome under the hot summer sun.

During four free days of family fun at Pelham Summerfest, visitors will not only be able to enjoy a large lineup of local musicians and vendors, they’ll also be able to connect with a variety of local community partners.

The Rotary Club of Fonthill will be presenting the Elvis Lives Elvis Presley tribute performance at the Bandshell on Thursday night to help kick off “the opener.”

Those feeling lucky can visit the Fabulous Fenwick Lions Club, who will be selling tickets for a chance to win a restored 1969 Chevy Nova SS or an exotic car tour for two people.

Pelham’s Active Transportation Committee will be on site Saturday with the “Active Zone,” sharing information about cycling routes and pedestrian safety for residents.

Those with children stop by and visit Rose City Kids, a youth program, or the Pelham Junior Hockey Club to see all each group has to offer in the coming months.

Niagara College and Brock University will both be on site, providing guests with information about nearby opportunities for secondary education and their programs.

“The Town of Pelham recognizes that an event that attracts as many people as Pelham Summerfest can connect residents with the local volunteers and service clubs who provide resources for the community,” said Town of Pelham Communications Specialist Leah Letford. “With so many great organizations in the area, Pelham Summerfest provides residents the chance to learn more about some of the work these groups are doing to support the community.”
