With Pelham Summerfest quickly approaching, residents and visitors may expect a full four-day lineup of events, with things kicking off at The Opener on Thursday, July 13.
Beginning at 4 p.m. guests can stop by the Pelham Farmers Market, celebrating its 20th year in operation, to see an array of vendors carrying fresh produce and local products. From there it’s on to the Supper Market area, which highlights a wide variety of food options including perogies, pizza, empanadas, and ice cream.
“The Town of Pelham is incredibly excited for the lineup of events Pelham Summerfest has to offer for visitors this year,” said Festivals and Events Coordinator Jodi Shishkov. “We encourage residents to visit the Thursday Night Opener and Pelham Farmers Market during the kickoff of our hometown festival.”
From 5:30 to 6:45, Max Casson and Rowin Lin will be performing in the Supper Market area in Peace Park. At 7 p.m., “Elvis Lives” will take the stage, thanks to the support of the Thursday Night Fonthill Bandshell Committee, with a performance that will have attendees all shook up. For the past 22 years, Bruno Nesci has been touring the world performing as Elvis Presley, including throughout Canada, the United States, Italy and Australia. He’s performed with members of Elvis’ actual band, including his backup singers, the Sweet Sensations, and Elvis’ drummer Eddy Graham.
Nesci’s accomplishments don’t stop there. He was the two-time Niagara Falls Elvis Festival People’s Choice Award Champion and is the only Canadian Elvis Tribute to place top 10 in the Ultimate Elvis Contest in Memphis, Tennessee.
Those attending the performance of Elvis Lives are invited to bring their lawn chairs. A shuttle service and free bike valet will be available to those attending the events.
