SUMMERFEST 2023 | Kid Zone offers plenty of fun

New this year, kids can break out their capes and costumes on Saturday morning and be part of a Superhero Training class

Pelham Summerfest is “four free family days” and the family fun takes over Peace Park on July 15 and 16 with the Kid Zone.

The Kid Zone is full of free activities for the youngest Pelham Summerfest visitors. Peace Park will transform during the two days to include entertainment for kids with free bouncers and roaming entertainers. Each day has some unique additions to keep families active.

New this year, kids can break out their capes and costumes on Saturday morning and be part of a Superhero Training class sponsored by Duliban Insurance. In addition, kids can see stilt walkers, balloon artists, watch experiments from Mad Science, and create arts and crafts with Carousel Players. Niagara-area magician Scoop McCoy will be dazzling guests with his magic with a show on Saturday and offering interactive strolling magic on Sunday.

Making a return to Pelham Summerfest will be Reptile Kingdom at 3 p.m. on Saturday with a chance to get up close and personal with all things scaly.

“Pelham Summerfest is designed to ensure that community members of all ages can come and 'chill in on the hill,'” said Town of Pelham Communications Specialist Leah Letford. “This year’s Kid Zone line-up and roaming entertainment is sure to bring smiles to the youngest Pelham Summerfest visitors and their families, it is great to see so many of the festival favourites returning this year.”

For those wanting to relax in Peace Park, Letford suggests bringing along a chair or blanket and enjoy the musical shows in the Bandshell from the Fonthill Music Academy on Saturday and on Sunday a full blues line up.

For families with very young children, the Bebe Station will be offering a complimentary baby changing and lounge area during the day Saturday.
