It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary-Jane (McKnight) Davidson; our Mom, Grandma, GG, mentor and friend. Mary-Jane was born in Toronto in 1934 to Margaret (Graham) McKnight and Douglas Hull McKnight.

She is predeceased by her husband Peter Davidson MD (2005) and is survived by her children Heather Cox and her husband Regan, of Guelph, Gord Davidson and his wife Margie, of Ancaster, Paul Davidson and his wife Nalini, of Toronto, and Anne Holton and her husband William (Billy), of Ancaster. Proud grandmother of Grete, Graeme, Rachel, Emily (Brian), Elizabeth (Marko), Allie (Ben), James (Miranda), Maya, Kyle, Clare, Will, and Kate. Great-grandmother of Will, Margot, Emilia, and Maya. Dear sister-in-law of Barbara Wood (John F.) of Guelph. Beloved partner of Joseph Patchett of Dundas.

Mary-Jane lived a blessed and full life. She began her career as a Registered Nurse at the Hospital for Sick Children where she worked in the Burns and Cardiology units. There she met Peter, and moved to Niagara Falls where they lived happily for many years, surrounded by friends and family. Mary-Jane was a long-time volunteer with the Greater Niagara Hospital Auxiliary and Project SHARE.

A funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 41 Byron St., Niagara-on-the Lake, ON at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Private family interment with take place at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery, Niagara Falls, ON.
