Beloved husband, father and Poppy, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 13, 2024, in St. Catharines, Ontario.  He was born on May 7, 1963, to Placide and Melinda Durelle.  He was born into a large family of 11 children: Beatrice, Rene (Peggy), Anne Marie (Alonso), Rosaire (Monique), Roseline (Mike), Perry (Debbie) and Jean Paul (Lisette) and sister-in-law, Connie, and brother-in-law, David.  Predeceased by siblings: Merita, Fernand and Rejeanne and brothers-in-law: Wayne, Doug and Oswald.  Denis will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews and their families, his many friends and all who knew him.

In the year 2000, Denis met the love of his life, Senga.  Together, they raised a beautiful family of five children: Meagan (Jay), Kyrstin (Albert), Alison (John), Dougan (Erynn) and Melinda (Kody).  Denis was a devoted father who worked tirelessly to provide for his family and create a loving home for them.

Denis was a doting Poppy to his five grandchildren Annabelle, Scotia, Zoe, Emma and Jaxson who brought him immense joy and laughter throughout his life.  He cherished every moment spent with them and loved watching them grow and thrive.  He will be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering strength and his love for animals.  Including Maisie, Olive, Willie, Rolo, Moo, Gracie, Pumpkin, Flower and Renn.

Denis was a father figure to many of his children's friends and neighbourhood children.  Denis was a hardworking man who took pride in everything he did.  His dedication to his family and his unwavering love for them will never be forgotten.

May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved beyond measure.
