In her 92nd year. Mom moved to Fonthill as a toddler and stayed in the " Village" her entire life.
The youngest of 5 siblings Joan was devoted to her family always. She leaves behind her husband John Loschnigg, daughters Jayne( Jim) Berg, Sandra Thomas (Greg Burd) step daughter Christine Chenette and step son Richard Loschnigg . Grandchildren Chelsea Misener (Jason Dalziel) Joshua (Elisa) Berg Jordan Berg Spencer Prest (Jeff Ireland) Kelly Berg (Michelle Derbyshire) Summer Salomons Hunter Salomons (Jackie Pagano) Johnathon Chenette and 5 great grandchildren. Joan was predeceased by her childhood sweetheart Bob Leslie and sons Scott and Dale Leslie.
Mom was raised in the Fonthill United Church and later a member of Ridgeville Bible Chapel and Pelham Friends Church. An active volunteer she was Captain of the Cancer Fundraisers, Arthritis Foundation, Heart and Stroke and children with Special Needs. An extra Mom to kids in our neighbourhood and an animal and nature lover.
She led by example exhibiting joy, love, kindness, forgiveness and generosity.
We are comforted knowing she is in her eternal home reunited with family.
