Following a courageous, valiant, and private battle with cancer, surrounded by her family, Maureen Young found peace. Survived by her devoted husband David, beloved sons Jeremy and Byron (Sadie). Maureen’s soft side showed most around her MVP's-grandchildren Joey, Jake, Jason, Paige and Stella. Maureen is also survived by her sister Marjorie and brother Buddy.
Predeceased by her loving parents, Alice and Rowe Hendrie, older sisters and confidants Mamie and JoAnne, much loved brother Jimmy and treasured son Justin.
In honouring Maureen's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 1-6 p.m. at the Imperial Veteran’s Association at 15 George Street, St. Catharines, Ontario (cash bar only).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to The Salvation Army (Community and family Services - Christmas adopt a family Program).
