Grimsby man charged with sexually assaulting woman at Lincoln golf course

The incident happened in August 2022 ad the man was arrested on Wednesday

In early May of 2023, the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Sexual Assault Unit began an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred in Lincoln.

The victim, an adult female in her teens, reported being sexually assaulted by a man she met while at work in August of 2022. The victim was employed at a local golf course. 

As a result of the investigation detectives identified a suspect. On May 10, 2023, Tyler J. Porter (35 yrs.) of Grimsby was arrested and charged with the Criminal Code offence of:

  • sexual assault

Porter was held in custody and will appear at a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on May 11, 2023.
