Niagara police release descriptions of witnesses

Assault occurred July 10 on restaurant patio in downtown St. Catharines

Niagara Regional Police Service have released photographs of witnesses they say may have information about an assault that took place July 10 on the patio of a restaurant on St. Paul Street between James Street and Garden Park in downtown St. Catharines, according to a news release.

The witnesses are described as follows:

Witness 1

  • Female
  • White
  • 20-30 years of age
  • Blond hair in a bun
  • 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-6 with a medium build
  • Wearing a yellow tank top
  • Wearing blue jean cut off shorts
  • Wearing dark high top Converse Chuck Taylor shoes
  • Carrying a multi-coloured backpack
  • Pushing a black three-wheeled stroller

Witness 2

  • Female
  • White
  • 20-30 years of age
  • Black / brown hair in a ponytail
  • 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-6 with a slender build
  • Wearing glasses
  • Wearing a white T-shirt
  • Wearing black shorts
  • Carrying a black purse

Witness 3

  • Male
  • White
  • 20-30 years of age
  • Black / brown short hair
  • 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-1 with a slender build
  • Wearing sunglasses
  • Wearing a burgundy baseball hat with a white logo
  • Wearing a T-shirt with the words “I Like Older Women”
  • Wearing black shorts
  • Wearing white shoes with black socks

Detectives assigned to the case say the suspect has not been identified. He is described as:

  • 30-40 years of age
  • Short with a slim build
  • Short blond hair and a possible moustache
  • Wearing a long sleeve black shirt with a logo on the front
  • Wearing blue jeans
  • Wearing white Adidas sneakers
