LETTER: Less for more

PelhamToday received the following letter from a reader concerned about potholes:

As the heading says, we seem to be getting less service for more (higher) taxes in the Town of Pelham. Indeed, potholes and cracks should be fixed each spring or when the need arises (see photo).

However, it is insufficient that Town staff just dump loose asphalt into the cracks and potholes of our roads. Why? Because it makes a mess on the sides of cars. For the “more” in taxes we are paying each year we should expect the loose asphalt be tamped down as a minimum.

Thanks, Town of Pelham.
