It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas John Dennis. He passed away peacefully with his loving daughters by his side at the Welland Hospital, Thursday, February 22nd, 2024. Loving husband to Margaret Dennis, (deceased), and father to Marcia Dennis, (Jeff) and Laureen Dennis, (John). Grandfather (Grampie) to Benjamin Farrer. Brother to two siblings and uncle to two nieces and a nephew and a great uncle to one.
Thomas spent most of his life in the Niagara Region working at Port Colborne Quarries as a heavy equipment operator for over 50 years. Thomas grew up in Toronto and was involved in many equestrian activities for much of his life both in the GTA and the Niagara Region. He was well liked by many and had a sense of humor that endeared him to his friends and family. He loved to regale anyone with his stories from his adventurous childhood and teenage years.
At Thomas’ request, cremation has taken place, and the family will hold a private interment on a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Thomas' name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Welland Humane Society
