Nieuwold, Jeffery Albert 1980 – 2024

Passed away peacefully after a long battle with his illness at the St. Catharines General Hospital, with his loving family by his side on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the age of 43. Dear and beloved son of Bert and Cheryl. Cherished brother of Matthew (Alisha}, and Melissa.  Forever missed by his nephew Jack.

Jeff, a man of warmth and wit, has left us, but his memory will forever linger in our hearts. He was a devoted friend, a loving uncle, and a passionate animal lover.

Jeff’s bond with his faithful companion, Wally, was unbreakable. They shared countless walks, laughter, and quiet moments together. Wally, the ever-loyal dog, was more than a pet; he was Jeff’s confidant and partner in mischief.

Maple Leaf’s games were a staple in Jeff’s life. Whether celebrating victories or accepting defeats, he loved those game nights. His quick wit and playful pranks kept everyone on their toes, turning ordinary evenings into memorable ones.

As the years passed, Jeff faced physical limitations. The walks he once enjoyed became a distant memory, and fishing trips and gardening were no longer feasible. But his love for animals endured.

His nephew, a source of joy and laughter, held a special place in Jeff’s heart. They played games, shared stories, and created cherished memories. Jeff missed those moments when walking became a challenge, but the bond they shared remained unbreakable.

Today, we bid farewell to Jeff, knowing that he leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and kindness. May he find eternal peace.

Family and friends will be received at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Thursday February 22nd from 6 – 8:00 pm.

The funeral service to honour Jeffery’s life will take place at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
